In typical food process and related applications, wash water gets loaded with matter. These suspended organics can become harborage sites for microbes, create a high demand for sanitizers and other chemicals, cause process control variations, and compromise food safety and quality.
Model AP100-EC controller can automatically open a drain valve as water gets dirty, and maintain wash water quality. When the Conductivity value goes above the set point, an automatic valve is activated to release the dirty water to drain. As fresh make-up water enters the tank, it lowers the Conductivity Value. When the measured value reaches the set point, it shuts the drain valve off.
Unlike Turbidity sensors that are very expensive, cumbersome and hard to maintain, the Unique Electrodeless Conductivity Sensor is inexpensive, and requires virtually no maintenance.
It has a large display with icon based programming, and shows the current measurement value, push button set point selection, with adjustable 4-20 mA output.
A specially designed flow cell allows high flow through the system for greater sensitivity and accuracy, and the sensor may be placed in line with other water sensors.
